Amanda graduated from D’Youville College located in Buffalo NY with a Masters in Occupational Therapy and minor in Psychology. She had a Clinical in WNC and fell in love with the mountains, moving to Asheville after graduation in 2012. She lives in Asheville with her husband and 2 dogs, Leia and Ellie.
After graduating, she started working in a SNF, through the years, she has gained experience in a variety of settings including, inpatient, outpatient, and home health. She also volunteered/worked at a hippotherapy/therapeutic riding center, where she helped develop and served as initial chair member for Equinox Horse Foundation to help provide equine services to those in need.
She has received certifications in Lymphedema, LSVT BIG, and NBCOT specialty certificate in Geriatrics. She is looking to continue her education in Hand therapy and Wound care.
When not working, she loves to kayak, cycle, and hike; and has a growing interest in photography. She also enjoys running agility with her dog Ellie; and volunteering at Asheville humane society, working in the Urban tails and Foster programs.
