Mary is an Asheville native. She received her B.A. in Spanish and Biology from Appalachian State University and then her doctorate degree from Western Carolina University in physical therapy. Ever since high school, Mary has had the desire to work in the rehabilitation arena, with a special interest in those recovering from neurological conditions. New interests arose over time, including that of pelvic health. Mary has her certification in LSVT BIG, Otago Exercise Program, APTA-Section on Women’s Health levels I-III, Myopain Seminars dry needling level I, and continues her education with upcoming courses in manual therapy. She enjoys working with individuals suffering from various orthopedic, pelvic health, and neurological conditions.
Apart from work, Mary loves salsa dancing, hiking, exercising, being active in her church, spending time with her family and friends, playing with her Husky/Great Pyrenees dog Niña Mía, learning new things, and traveling when she has the chance. Mary is thrilled to practice in her own hometown, serving a community that she loves.
