Doug earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2011. He specializes in the treatment of individuals with pain, movement-related disorders, and running injuries.
He is amazed by the adaptability of the human body and believes in physical therapy. He has an ardent interest in evidence-based practice and utilizes current evidence to inform his reasoning. Specific topics that he has focused on include: the evidence-based treatment of: neck and lower back pain; running gait assessment and re-training; tendinopathy, to include Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendinopathy, and hamstring tendinopathy; headaches, and the related research on physical therapy intervention; and pain neuroscience, and its practical application for patients.
He is certified in spinal manipulative therapy and dry needling.
